Mixtape: Soul is a free house for Black people of all genders. This page says, in plain words, what we keep and why.
What we collect
When you pull up a chair we store your name, email, password (hashed, never plain), and date of birth so we can keep the house 21+. Your profile can hold a photo, city, bio, what you're looking for, interests, and a song title and artist. Messages, notes, room posts, keeps, blocks, and reports stay with your account.
How we use it
We use it to run the house: to show your profile, to deliver notes and messages to people you're connected with, to keep blocked people apart, and to let real people review reports. We don't sell your information. We don't use it to build a feed of strangers outside this house.
Confirmation and password-reset notes go out through our mail provider. Those notes contain a single-use link. We don't send marketing blasts from your inbox.
Visits
We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, to count visits. It doesn't use cookies or collect personal information.
Deleting your chair
In settings you can delete your account. That removes your profile, photo, messages, posts, and the rest of the data tied to you. Some report records may close when the account they point to is gone.
